At Discovery Point Retreat, you receive outstanding addiction care in a tranquil, ranch-like setting that is beneficial to a successful recovery. The atmosphere at our treatment centers near Dallas, Texas is perfect for getting away from the stress of everyday life and focusing solely on your rehabilitation journey.
As one of the nation’s leading addiction treatment programs, we follow the key principles for recovery as outlined by the National Institute on Drug Abuse, including a whole-patient approach to treatment. We have comprehensive levels of care for every stage of recovery, from medical detox to residential treatment, outpatient programs and continuing care.
When you choose Discovery Point Retreat, you can be assured that we will develop a substance abuse recovery plan that is right for you. Whether it’s your first time in rehab or you’re seeking help after a relapse, our team creates an individualized treatment plan based on your unique needs.
We know how difficult it is to entrust your loved one to someone else’s care. Rest assured that the health and safety of clients is our top priority. Because drugs and alcohol cause detrimental health effects both during both active use and the detox process, close clinical monitoring is crucial to early recovery. We have registered nurses onsite providing care 24/7. Discovery Point Retreat is also one of the first addiction treatment centers to implement the EarlySense Continuous Monitoring System – a non-invasive, contact-free sensor used to monitor client heart and respiratory rates, quality of sleep, and other vitals, providing an additional layer of safety.
Our treatment team, which includes doctors, nurses, therapists, counselors, case managers and recovery coaches, develops the most effective recovery program to meet each client’s specific needs. Following best practices, we integrate evidence-based therapy such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), as well as a range of experiential and holistic treatment modalities in individual and group settings.
At Discovery Point Retreat, we don’t just treat the addiction. We also address any co-occurring disorders that contribute to substance abuse such as trauma, anxiety, and depression. By identifying and treating all mental health conditions impacting each client, we provide a better chance for complete recovery.
We offer a full continuum of care within one facility, including medical detox, residential treatment, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient and outpatient programs, and aftercare. Clients can transition from one level of care to another at any time. This enables us to support clients throughout their entire recovery journey, providing stability and consistency every step of the way.
Many members of our treatment team are in recovery themselves. They’ve been on the other side, understand what you’re going through and know how to help. We believe in building sustainable and genuine relationships with our clients enabling a high program completion rate across all levels of care.
Our beautiful ranch, situated approximately 30 miles south of Dallas, is just far enough away to escape the hurry of city life. Surrounded by lush green fields and plenty of nature, we provide the perfect setting for you to reflect and focus on your recovery journey.
We view families as an integral part of recovery. Our family program helps families heal from grief and anger, while providing guidance on how to restore bonds and support loved ones in sobriety.
Accessibility, open lines of communication and client-focused professionalism form the foundation of Discovery Point Retreat’s strong relationships with referring providers. We know how important it is to keep our client’s home providers informed during treatment. When the patient is discharged, we work collaboratively with providers to ensure seamless continuity of care.
Discovery Point Retreat is in-network with a wide range of insurance plans, making addiction treatment accessible and affordable. We accept Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Humana, Magellan, Optum, United Healthcare and more, plus most out-of-network policies are accepted. Our admissions coordinators can quickly and confidentially verify your insurance benefits.
We measure our success in the hundreds of lives that have been transformed in recovery. Our alumni are the best advocates for our program – they are living proof that recovery is possible and there is always hope.
