Holly’s Addiction Recovery Story
Holly grew up in a loving, supportive household with parents who made sure she never struggled. She thrived under their ongoing support, getting a job and car on her own, though her parents continued to cover her living expenses. However, things took a turn while she was in a tumultuous relationship with the father of her child. Introduced to cocaine and other hard drugs, this began a four year struggle with addiction that changed everything. After losing her job, apartment, and car to drug abuse, Holly admits for feeling as if nothing else mattered beyond her drug of choice. Left without anyone to turn to, Holly was finally forced to recognize the depth of her addiction. Cut off from her family and with a child to care for, it was difficult to continue ignoring the problem. Holly found the help, guidance, and support she needed at Discovery Point Retreat. As part of our forever family, she is now devoted to her recovery, motherhood, and being the best version of herself.
